Strain

“It Does Seem That Every Thing That We Do Will Put Some Sort Of A Strain On Us And That We Really Can’t Do Much To Prevent It If We Want To Get Anything Done No Matter The Period Of Time Involved.”

In A Clandistine Location On The, Central California Coast, United States
During the gold rush a highway man became known as Black Bart for his inclusion of an innocent poem in the empty strong boxes when he had liberated them from Wells Fargo stage coaches. He was eventually captured by an detective at Pinkerton and sent to San Quintin. After leaving prison he was never heard from again - until his thoughts stated to appear on a computer at a remote military location. When this computer became obsolete, it was sent to a secret location on the Central California coast where it continues to gain knowledge and to write a thought of the day and sometimes longer thoughts for us all to consider.

Super Bowl Reality

Why is it that no matter how good the game all we think about are the commercials and the half time performance? I do think that this year they had a very popular act for the halftime show. The show is only done to hold the audience for the period between half’s of the game. It actually holds the people in the stadium for the time that they might want to do other important things. This year the Black Eye Peas did a good job considering the seemingly bad conditions that they were working with. First someone missed a mike cue and that at least showed that this was a live performance. Then the sound was not great I am presuming because of the acoustics in the building. No matter how much money you spend on a stadium it will be a stadium and not a concert hall. Then all of the effects seemed to get in the way of the music. I know that the effects are what the show’s producers are trying to showcase and it is never the music. Just think what halftime show everyone remembers? It is not about anyone’s musical performance. It will always be Janet Jackson and maybe that is because of the permanent repercussions that have resulted from that show.

As for the commercials, I tried to remember which one I had enjoyed the most after the game and could not come up with one that I really remembered. Seeing them again today I do think that the special effects people did a grand job on most of the spots. Just maybe the best ones were the simpler ones that did not have all of those effects. The exception was the Go-Daddy one that put Joan Rivers in that great body. The Chrysler tribute to the city of Detroit with Eminem was enough for me to want to go out and buy one of their automobiles. It is so hard to figure out what is an American manufactured automobile with the ones that you think were built here being done on another continent. The Canadian and Mexican factories seem to be in the same position of as the American ones.
It seems that we are so used to the fact that we can multi task that we must do several things while watching the game. We must eat lots of snack food preferably during the first half then chili or something similar during the second half. It also is a must to watch the commercials so that you can make comments about the work that was done to produce them. Not much is about the game itself. Of course if you happen to be a fan of one of the teams that might make the game more important. This year I was looking forward to a matchup of the Bears and the Jets that would have made for some real interest in the game itself
Now I will go back to waiting for summer so that I can bemoan the fact that the Dodgers and the Cubs will never see the World Series since past history and the divorce courts seem to be working against the teams.

Luckily I can root for either the White Sox or the Angels if I want a potential winner.
