I live in a community that claims it never has any weather and that may be correct. I constantly hear people complain about whatever the weather happens to be that day. Most of the time the comments that other people make are laughable. I have lived in other areas and have been able to see what real weather is like. Fortunately I have avoided many of the worst of the weather types and do not claim to know all that is true about weather. I do know that sometimes where you stand can give you a biased view of the weather. I worked in a building that had a metal roof and even in a drizzle you could not have a conversation since it became so noisy. I have had many people tell me how heavy the rain is at that moment and inevitably when I check it out we are only receiving a light rain or sometimes only a drizzle. Most of the people have not lived in an area where the monsoons are a yearly occurrence. That is a real rain storm and it usually is not a short occurrence. Think of looking out the window and seeing a waterfall coming down outside. Worse, think about not having any shelter. To put it into perspective in California we think of rain in inches in a day while in many places they give the amount of rain in inches per hour. We have less rain in a year then can occur in one day. So before you complain about the weather remember where you are living and think about those people who really do have weather.
