Strain

“It Does Seem That Every Thing That We Do Will Put Some Sort Of A Strain On Us And That We Really Can’t Do Much To Prevent It If We Want To Get Anything Done No Matter The Period Of Time Involved.”

In A Clandistine Location On The, Central California Coast, United States
During the gold rush a highway man became known as Black Bart for his inclusion of an innocent poem in the empty strong boxes when he had liberated them from Wells Fargo stage coaches. He was eventually captured by an detective at Pinkerton and sent to San Quintin. After leaving prison he was never heard from again - until his thoughts stated to appear on a computer at a remote military location. When this computer became obsolete, it was sent to a secret location on the Central California coast where it continues to gain knowledge and to write a thought of the day and sometimes longer thoughts for us all to consider.

Just A Few Pictures

I was thinking about how our lives have been changed by the internet. One way that I have noticed has not actually been changed is how we want to see pictures of ourselves in many places.
When I was in college one of the best indicators of how active you were was how many times you were in the yearbook at the end of the school year. It was the goal of some people to see how many pictures of yourself you could find in the book. One year we almost had a contest to determine the person with the most pictures. The year that I knew the staff photographers, but was not on the staff I did have a huge amount of coverage. The next year I did cut down because of was too busy editing the book. The details of that project are another topic. We just hung out at events that we knew would be covered and were around when they were taking junk pictures that eventually were used to fill in spaces. Sometimes it was a need to fill a spot and the fact that were in the area that made the picture possible. Has it changed today? No now only the media has changed. Now we try to see how many pictures we can find on Facebook or some other similar site. We want to be friends with as many people as possible so that our picture will not only appear in the photo albums that we post but in as many places that we do not “control”. I have found that it can be more fun to post both my picture and that of my alter ego. It may be the same concept as the clown that can act more natural in makeup. The fact that it is how I want to look makes in part of the game. I think that the only place some people need to be seen is on the post office wall, but then that group of people probably does not have facebook pages. So I suspect you think that I will use a picture of myself with this post – well no that would make this a silly joke and those who know me know that I never do silly jokes only intellectual and very high brow humor. Think about It. I now can have all of the pictures that were not taken and actually get more coverage then I had before. We do love to be seen. Unfortunately most of us do not do anything that will make it to the press. So use facebook or one of the social sites, it is much safer than the other means of getting publicity.
