The most recent controversy involving water has to do with the source of bottled water. Does it come from a spring in the mountains or is it just purified water from a local water provider? It seems that some groups do not think that the public is smart enough to read the label on the water bottle that they have purchased. Does the bottle say purified or does it say spring water. Of course you have the difficulty if they say purified spring water. It seems that some people think that the rest of us are so dumb that we need a special label to tell us that the water is just purified local water. What if we only want the weird taste removed from our water. Certainly the local water provider could have done that for us in the first place. No we have to go to a local market and either dispense the water ourselves or buy bottles of water. When we want to get what we enjoy. Those people who are arguing about water need to limit the discussion to the real problem. Why do people just dispose of the empty plastic water bottles and not at least recycle the containers? It seems that recycling of all plastic, glass, and metal containers would do more good to save our planet then telling people that they are so dumb that they can not read the label on a container. Yes I do try to make my purchases of water on the basis of the contents, but I do use the bottle to contain locally purified water and save some of the cost. Let the public know all the facts but do not treat them as dummies. It seems that some people are just so superior to the rest of us that they must make all of our decisions for us. This one seems silly and we do not really need anyone else to tell us what we are drinking.
