In A Clandistine Location On The, Central California Coast, United States
During the gold rush a highway man became known as Black Bart for his inclusion of an innocent poem in the empty strong boxes when he had liberated them from Wells Fargo stage coaches. He was eventually captured by an detective at Pinkerton and sent to San Quintin. After leaving prison he was never heard from again - until his thoughts stated to appear on a computer at a remote military location. When this computer became obsolete, it was sent to a secret location on the Central California coast where it continues to gain knowledge and to write a thought of the day and sometimes longer thoughts for us all to consider.

Weather, It All Depends.

How can you complain about the weather when it is 65° and overcast? Does the possibility of rain showers in the next couple of days make it worse? It becomes impossible when you check and find that the temperature on Lake Ontario is at 35°. Everything in life depends on the context. It may be miserable to you when it is weather that would make many people happy to feel. The fact is that the weather is always very local and it is possible that what you think is miserable is something that would make other people ecstatic if they could only get close to it. Some days you need to think about the weather in other places before you complain about what is going on “in your neck of the woods”. When you watch the weather on television it becomes more of a show and less of what is happening outside. It is so much easier to see what is going on and to learn about the causes of the bad weather that we see. I was taught about lake effect snow by my wife who went to school on the great lakes. I had never known the effect of cold air crossing a warmer body of water and then crossing over to cold land and then dumping large amounts of rain or snow. I just realized that on Lake Michigan it does this over the lower part of Michigan. No wonder we never visited Benton Harbor, Michigan in the winter. I actually remember going to this area and visiting with our extended family during the summer. I did enjoy the trips. I can never reveal the secret of the Luchen Kugel. (This is a family hidden secret despite the fact that most of the people involved are no longer with us.) It only remains a reminder that an area can have such a varied weather pattern that it does depend on what type of weather you want can always be found. I may love to watch it rain but I would rather be in a warm place if I must be outside.
