Strain

“It Does Seem That Every Thing That We Do Will Put Some Sort Of A Strain On Us And That We Really Can’t Do Much To Prevent It If We Want To Get Anything Done No Matter The Period Of Time Involved.”

In A Clandistine Location On The, Central California Coast, United States
During the gold rush a highway man became known as Black Bart for his inclusion of an innocent poem in the empty strong boxes when he had liberated them from Wells Fargo stage coaches. He was eventually captured by an detective at Pinkerton and sent to San Quintin. After leaving prison he was never heard from again - until his thoughts stated to appear on a computer at a remote military location. When this computer became obsolete, it was sent to a secret location on the Central California coast where it continues to gain knowledge and to write a thought of the day and sometimes longer thoughts for us all to consider.

It's Over - - For Now

Well the big day has finally come.

The government has been trying to get rid of the analog spectrum in broadcasting for many years and all of the delays seem to be out of the way. We should all be digital by now. The television broadcasters have been able to turn off of their old transmitters and they are able to save on their electric bills. Besides, they have the opportunity to add additional streams of programming within the same space that they had before. Now they will have to figure out what to broadcast that will both attract advertisers and viewers. Some of the early choices are news, weather and old movies and TV shows. Local programming is a choice but that actually costs money. One alternative might be to join with local colleges or even high schools to produce programming that is now being shown on local campus and show all of the community what the local schools can produce. The big cities may be first to add additional chanals, but that does not mean that they will be adding anything that is better then can be produced in the smaller markets. More channels, but not much more to watch.
